Easter Gonk

What you will need:

• KING COLE KNITTING PATTERN BOOKLET | GONKS BOOK 1
  We made the small lemon gonk, but you have the choice of about 8 colours and 2 sizes.

• TEMPLATE FOR EARS
  Draw around on card and cut out.

• KING COLE YUMMY
  For the lemon gonk you will need Lemon and Battenberg. Lemon for the ears.

• KING COLE BIG VALUE CHUNKY
  We used Pink (nose) and Sugar Pink (hands, feets, heart and body).

• KING COLE MOMENTS DK
  White for the beard.

• KNITTING NEEDLES
  You will nee 4mm and 5mm. Choose from our 30cm long Pony Single Point Classic Knitting Needles , the 25cm long Pony Single Point Classic Knitting Needles or the 33m long Pony Single Point Bamboo Knitting Needles.

• TOY FILLING - STUFFING
  To fill gonk.

• EMBROIDERY SCISSORS
  To cut the yarn.

• YARN NEEDLE
  To attach the top of the pudding and complete faces - choose from metal or plastic.

• ROW COUNTER
  This is a larger project due to the size, so make sure you keep track of your rows by using a row counter. Choose from the 2-piece set, the large or the small.

• LOLLYPOP STICK
  Two for the ears.

• GLUE
  To stick the ears together.

• YARN HOLDER
  Keep the yarn in place, preventing it from rolling away, by using this spinning yarn holder.

Step 1: Knit Gonk

From the knitting pattern

Step 2: Cut our bunny ears

Use the template. On cardboard.

Step 3: Stick ears to the lollypop stick

Using glue.

Step 4: Run glue up the ear

So the yarn sticks.

Step 5: Wrap yarn tightly around the ear

Make sure one is on either side of the zip.

Step 6: Glue end

So the yarn does not unravel.

Step 7: Push ears into the hat of the gonk

One on each side.
