If you have been with us for a while over the years, you will know that we love to create a little Easter chocolate / Easter Egg hunt bag.
This week we have made this really cute bucket style drawstring bag with handles.
Take a look at how we made this below:
Easter Chicks Digital Cotton
Single Sided Microfleece
Completed Bucket Bag
To make our decoration we used this video here.
We did find it a bit fiddly! We did change the sizing so check below.
What you will need:
- TEMPLATE
Body 30cm x 42cm, Handles 2 x 6cm x 45cm.
- COTTON
For the outer layer - we chose Easter Chicks Digital Cotton Fabric, but you could use any Easter fabric.
- SINGLE SIDED MICROFLEECE
For the inner layer. We chose white. You could use cotton too for a lighter bag, but it won't be as sturdy.
- DRAWSTRING
2 x 40cm.
CUTTING BOARD
For a flat surface you can cut on.
- SCISSORS
To cut fabric.
- FABRIC MARKER
To draw around template.
- PINS
To pin fabric to prevent it moving.

You might want to choose a neutral white, or match the thread to your fabric.
