This yarn moves through the fingers smoothly and knits up without splitting, even on fine needles — a reliable performer at 4ply gauge. The 25% nylon content gives the fabric real resilience, helping it hold its shape through repeated wear and washing without the superwash wool feeling stiff or squeaky.
It’s well suited to socks, where the nylon reinforcement earns its keep at the heel and toe, but it works just as well for fine-knit accessories such as lace shawls, fingerless mitts, and baby bonnets and booties.
