We have had a number of queries recently regarding “Where’s My Stuff?”. We hope that this post will put some context around our answer.

Currently eCommerce in many countries is the only way for most products to be purchased. As such many online businesses are incredibly busy; some with orders 3 or 4 times what they had last year,

But all of these orders are have to be delivered, and with Amazon having told their merchants that they will temporarily be withdrawing their delivery services for non-essential goods, those orders too have flooded to other courier companies such as the Royal Mail, DPD, DHL etc. in addition a number of these carriers relied on merchants to hand their parcels in at a collection points to reduce the time spent picking up mail. Most of these pick up points are also now closed and so every courier order needs to be collected as well as delivered which places even more pressure on the network.

These delivery companies are now handling more volume than Black Friday and on fewer staff due to illness. And yet every one we interact with at the warehouse or the post office have unfailingly been helpful, cheerful and a delight.

Therefore a big thanks from us at Cuddle Plush Fabrics.

The volumes being handled are eye-watering as this post on Facebook shows. And so it is understandable that delivery lead times have been extended. Currently we are seeing First Class post taking between 2-4 days for delivery and Second Class 10 -14 days.

We are continuing to despatch orders pretty quickly, normally the day after they have been placed, but please remember that we do not open the warehouse at weekends or Bank Holidays therefore it depends on the day of the week you order as to when it gets despatched.

Also you should be aware that we process orders “first in, first out”. If you choose first class post or DHL it will be sent out on a quicker delivery service but it won’t “jump the queue” to be despatched.

When we despatch your order you will receive a despatch confirmation email. If you haven’t received one please check your Junk Mail before contacting us. And of course please take into account the extended delivery times currently being experienced industry-wide. Invariably orders turn up and I’m afraid that nothing we can do from this end that will actually help postie get them to you any quicker.

But if you haven’t received your second class order within 2 weeks of ordering then of course drop us a line.
